You and the other expedition members sustain extensive injuries in your escape. You've just barely reached the entrance when you hear a loud crash. The shimmering energy field bursts like a bubble as the ocean finally overwhelms the ancient dome.
Each surviving investigator is defeated and suffers 1 physical trauma.

Each location is connected to each location adjacent to it. [fast] Spend 1 R clues, as a group: Decrease your location's flood level. Objective – At the end of the round, if each surviving investigator is at Barrier Core (Active), you may advance. (Hint: Reactivate the Barrier Core by revealing and draining locations!)

If an investigator controls the Barrier Node:
The strange orb sends a ripple of energy throughout the orrery and the surrounding dome. By pulling the node free, you have stolen the only thing powering the dome. A tremor shakes the structure as the energy field up above begins to dissipate!

Otherwise:
The alien machinery hums with an otherworldly current. Overhead, a massive chunk of rock falls from the foundation and passes through the flickering energy field. The structure seems to have been stabilized.
